Day 192: Reflections as I Journey Back Home

Day 192: Reflections as I Journey Back Home

“I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.” —Mary Anne Radmacher

As I stand on the threshold of a new journey back home, this quote echoes profoundly within me. Tomorrow, I begin my trek into the familiar, yet unknown, fueled by the countless experiences that have reshaped who I am. Excitement intertwines with nerves—a mosaic of emotions that paints the beginning of this return journey.

These past months have been a pilgrimage not just across physical distances but through the landscapes of my own transformation. Like the moon viewed from different corners of the earth, I’ve seen life from various vantage points, each perspective bringing its own light and shadows. This journey has taught me lessons in resilience, gratitude, and the strength of vulnerability.

As I spend these final moments with family, I am reminded of the ties that bind us, regardless of where we find ourselves in the world. These connections, both old and new, have anchored me throughout my travels and changes.

Tomorrow, as I start this journey back to a place called home, I carry with me not just memories but new parts of myself that were unknown before this adventure began. I am excited and nervous, but above all, I am ready. Ready to embrace whatever this homecoming has to offer, and ready to apply the wisdom gained from seeing the moon shine on the other side of the world.

Here’s to the journeys that change us, to the roads that lead us back home, and to the endless discovery of ourselves along the way.
