Day 139: The Lighthouse
Share
For a long time, I talked about Hope as my lighthouse. In my darkest times, when I was lost and adrift at sea, she was the light that guided me home. She saved me when I couldn’t save myself, and for a while, that was enough to keep me moving forward. But lighthouses have a purpose—to guide you safely to shore. Once you’re there, their job is done.
Now, I realize it’s my turn to become my own light. I’m not there yet, but I’m closer than I’ve ever been. It’s a work in progress—a process that takes time, effort, and patience. And while I don’t have a lot of words to give you today, I wanted to show up anyway, because that’s what this journey is about: showing up, even when it’s hard, even when it’s messy.
If you’re reading this and you’re struggling, I want you to know this: you are not alone. Whatever storm you’re weathering, there’s a light to guide you—even if, for now, it’s someone else’s. And one day, when you’re ready, you’ll be that light for yourself.
If you have a story you need to share, my door is open. This space was created for connection, for hope, and for the understanding that none of us walk this path alone.
Remember: this journey is a roller coaster, with ups and downs, twists and turns. Today is a quieter day for me, but it’s still part of the ride. Wherever you are on your journey, keep going.
One step at a time. One punch at a time. One round at a time.
You are not alone.
