Day 115 — Small Steps, Big Shifts

Day 115: Small Steps, Big Shifts

Today, I’m shifting my focus from the giant hurdles I still see in my path to the smaller steps I’ve already taken.

• Daily Rituals: Waking up earlier, prepping coffee the night before, even just making my bed—these little habits ground me. They remind me I’m capable of carrying out commitments, one routine at a time.

• Micro-Goals: Maybe it’s a single round of boxing before I open my phone or a single moment of silence before I fill my head with racing thoughts. Tiny, yes—but every time I follow through, it’s proof I can keep going.

• Noticing Wins: Drinking that extra glass of water, resisting a trigger when it flares, writing a paragraph in my journal—those are low-key victories. Each one says: “You did something for yourself today. Good job.”

• Self-Affirmation: I often beat myself up for not hitting the finish line yet. But the truth is, I am making progress. And if I’m honest, these small steps I’m taking—quietly, every day—have kept me moving forward.

Sometimes I look at the bigger picture and panic. There’s so much to fix, so far to go. But the reality is, I’ve already changed in a hundred little ways—ways that used to feel impossible. However small they might look from the outside, they all add up. They all keep me in motion.

Today’s focus: Celebrate the subtle transformations that suggest I’m not the same person I was yesterday. No matter how insignificant they seem, these “tiny triumphs” are the bedrock of real, lasting change.
